Porch before and after
Our porch is our very first before and after to be revealed! When we bought the house in February (in Minnesota where it's 2°) it was hard to imagine what a three season porch would feel like in the summer. Here's the before shot:
and the after:
The wicker furniture used to be Mike's Grandparents. The fabric had a floral pattern that any grandparent would love but we like the blue fabric covers better! We put together some super inexpensive Ikea (Lack) tables to make a coffee table we can separate and move closer if we decide to eat some hot-off-the-grill meals on the love seat. We already owned the paper-shade Ikea (Orgel) lamps so it was just a matter of throwing together some pillows and decorations that can handle the heat/moisture changes of a porch.
Here's a shot from the outside. We affectionately call this the "stalker shot". Please don't stand in our lawn to get this view! You can faintly see our outdoor dining card table (left and behind the love seat) and our shelves for garden tools and outdoor dinnerware.
Do you have any suggestions for future projects? We've considered painting the brown stucco house wall and metal walls, staining the floor like our heroes at Young House Love, and putting up some light weight curtains to soften things up. What other ideas do you have?

I love the idea of white curtains around the room…they would add some privacy as well. Also, perhaps playing with the furniture arrangement might be good. It looks a bit cramped. Love the white leaning bookshelves. Where did you get them?

Thanks Beth! The shelves are from Ikea, I don't recall the price but they were pretty inexpensive. We probably will add curtains at some point, thanks for the suggestions!

That was my first thought when I saw your fall layout for this room-"that looks just like John & Sherry's back porch @ YoungHouseLove!" I was going to refer you to their blog if you hadnt heard of it yet:)
